: Lorri Fitzgerald came through her kidney transplant in flying colors. All went well. She will be released from the hospital within the next several days. Doctors have advised her to stay in the Winston Salem area for the next 6 weeks or so for follow up. Keep the Fitzgerald family in your prayers.

January 23, 2012 - DD #26 David Spinks will be going into the hospital on Tuesday January 24, 2012 for hip replacement.

January 23, 2012 - Candi Petite, wife of PSD Tony Petite, is presently in therapy instructional classes at Duke University Hospital for a double lung transplant.
She is on the list for the tranplant and will receive it just as soon as she completes her therapy. The cost for this proceedure is over 1.5 million dollars.  The Petites portion of this fee is over 10 thousand dollars. So they need our help. A fund raiser will be held at 5:00 PM Friday Jan 27, 2012 at: Immaculate Heart of Mary Church
Johnson St & Skeet Club RdHigh Point, NC This is a spaghetti dinner and the cost is $6.00 per person. Lets get out and support Candi and Tony.

 

January 21, 2012   SK Tom Thornburg of council 6700 Gastonia is in ICU-Presbyterian-Charlotte after suffering a stroke last week.

Funeral Mass on Saturday January 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM, St Paul the Apostle Church, 2715 Horse Pen Creek Road, Greensboro. Mass will be celebrated by Father John Allen. Interment will be at Westminister Gardens, 3601 Whitehurst Road, Greensboro.

Rosary will be at 2:00 PM Friday.

December 5, 2011 Donna Wilfong the wife of my District Warden Steve Wilfong collapsed on Tuesday evening and has been in CMC since then with a

serious pancreatic problem. Steve has been at the hospital with her since then and has asked that we pray for them both.

November 12, 201  Al Jorden of council 8886 and Assembly 3130 A mass was found on his lung. A biopsy will be done on Monday Nov 14, 2011.

November 6, 2011    Stephen Bogunia, father of DD 11 Gary Bogunia, has passed away on Nov 2, 2011 in Charlotte.

He will be buried in the Cleveland, Ohio area on Thursday or Friday of this week.

Please keep Gary and the Bogunia in your thoughts and prayers.

Please keep PSD Ray Wykoff in your thoughts and prayers as he goes through this difficult time.

I'm happy to say that Ray is moving to the 9th floor. (Room 940) I asked him about visitors and he would like to wait a couple of days and then I'll ask him again. He looked very good at 10:00 and 2:00 when I saw him. He was watching the Redskins game, dozing, talking, watching . . . . He had the neck and wrist medication tubes removed. He wasn't complaining about pain today for the first time. His headache was also gone. He had a regular meal for lunch, i.e., chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, etc. He walked a bit this morning. God is good and we are all grateful to be on this side of the surgery.

October 19, 2011  Tencha Smith wife of RDD Tom Smith is undergoing breast operation on October 19, 2011. Keep them in your prayers.

October 14, 2011  Vinny Mantione, Council 12832 Mint Hill had a pacemaker inserted this date.

Jim Fox, Council 10495 Albemarle suffered a heart attack and is in Stanly Regional Hospital.
Due for test later this date. If all OK he will be released in the next day or two.

October 13, 2011  - We have received information today that Chancellor Hadon E. Ware is in the hospital, been there for a few days, very weak and unable to intake any food. Unsure of the hospital at this time, will make further inquiries and keep you updated.
