STATE CHANCELLOR
The State Council has
initiated a new position on the State Council staff. It is the State Chancellor and this year
FDD/FRDD Hadon Ware and myself will be handling these duties. Hadon will be working with the councils in
the eastern part of the State (Raleigh Diocese) and I will be handling the west
(Charlotte Diocese).
We will be working with the
RDD’s, DD’s, GK’s and FN’s to hopefully have the State run smoother and more
efficient while helping reduce the workload of the State Officers.
The State Deputy would like
us to control the Supreme (possibly State Awards) so that they will be
presented to the councils as early as possible after arrival. Hopefully all will be in the hands of the
councils by mid-November and hopefully sooner.
When we receive the awards we will work out a distribution system. Star Awards will be handled and presented by
State Officers on their time schedule.
Another aspect of the
position is to enhance cooperation between the State Council and the Regions,
Districts, Assemblies and Councils to begin what for now we will call a
“Sunshine” program. We would like to
recognize RDD’s DD’s, GK’s etc with a small token of recognition like a
greeting card for milestone birthdays, anniversaries (marriage), anniversaries
(as Knights), births, graduations etc.
These items will be worked on in the immediate future to ascertain what
is appropriate for the occasion. We also
will be working on immediate and serious problems such as deaths and sickness,
where immediate action is necessary.
Please inform us as soon as you know the circumstance. We would like to start a prayer request where
we can distribute the names of those needing our prayers to others for the
prayer’s healing factor.
There is on the State website
a form “CHANCELLOR INFORMATION SHEET” under Forms, one for East and one for West,
which you can utilize to inform us of information we should forward around
the
State
as
per your
wishes.
As you can see and hopefully
realize this type of program cannot be successful without your help and input. We need you to provide information to us for
us to act. We will also be looking for
your ideas on how we can make this position be more effective and work for the
benefit of our entire State.
