Soon and very soon, We are going to see the King, Soon and very soon, We are going to see the King. Soon and very soon, We are going to see the King, Hallelujah, hallelujah, We are going to see the King.
Brothers, it is early on Palm Sunday as I reflect on my Lenten Journey. I ask myself if I am prepared to ‘See the King’ on Easter morning. I am excited about our preparations as a Catholic Community, and yet I also know of the great suffering that Jesus did for each and every one of us. My emotions are flowing over at this wondering time of our year.
Happy Easter to each and every one of you and your families, whether they are physically near you, or kept close in your hearts. My love and appreciation are overwhelming for each of you for your work, and I feel that a simple ‘Thank You’ is not enough. You have each truly brought Jesus to the people and places that need Him most. Your combined work is reflected in the results of the new brothers that you welcomed into our order. We stand at just forty-eight more new members to reach our full fraternal year.
We are in the planning stages of having our first Statewide UNITY event. This will be easy for each council across our great state of North Carolina, and also a very powerful display of our fraternal unity. We will pick a weekend and ask every council to conduct or sponsor any event in their parish or community sharing who we are as Knights of Columbus. Who knows, you may even make your membership number!
