Help Wanted!
Low pay, but great spiritual benefits!
Brothers, we have multiple openings for Program Chairmen in North Carolina. Involvement as a Program Chairman is a great way to get exposure to the workings of the State Council. Anyone may fill one of these positions, but they are especially recommended for someone with past leadership experience looking for a new role. Past Grand Knights especially should consider these positions as a way to continue their services to our order. Note that some of these programs are ongoing during the entire year while others are limited to a shorter period. GKs, DDs, RDDs and other KofC leaders should also be on the lookout for suitable candidates for these positions. If you know a brother knight who you think would be a good fit for one of them, please encourage him to consider taking the role. A list of all current openings is below. Please review the list and prayerfully consider volunteering for a position. For details of any program please visit the Programs section of the
Supreme website
or
State website
. If you have questions about a position, then please contact me or the Director for the applicable area.

Honor Fr. McGivney During Family Week
August is a great time to honor our founder, Blessed Michael McGivney, by participating in Family Week. As you probably know, Fr. McGivney was born on August 12, 1852 and died on August 14, 1890, so his feast day is August 13
th
. While Family Week can be scheduled at any convenient time for your council it has traditionally been done during this week. Recommended activities include a council run Family Picnic, Movie Night, Sporting Event, Rosary Program, Family Prayer Night, Holy Hour or a Family Sacrament of Reconciliation Program. You can also use one of these events to present a Family of the Month or Family of the Year certificate or to honor all of your recent honorees. There’s still time to plan something.
Vivat Jesus!
