Greetings Brothers Sir Knight and Worthy Faithful Navigator;
Vivat Jesus!
As we enter into the season of Advent, I am thankful for your support for providing new winter coats, sweat pants and sweat shirts. This will help each Medical Center meet the needs of their Veterans. With the winter season almost here, I know each Veteran is thanking you for your generosity. We are still in need for winter gloves, caps and scarves for those that are homeless.
The Food Drive:
Due to the government shut down, and the closure of the SNAP Program, many Veterans and their families lack sufficient funds to purchase needed food. I want to congratulate the Reps and Deps who worked to provide abundance of food for both the Durham and Fayetteville V.A. The need will continue to provide food until early next year. Please consider sponsoring a food drive, particularly for our Homeless Vets. (They need for that can’t be cooked.) If you have questions, contact your Rep or Dep at each VA Medical Center.
Representatives:
I still am in need for Deputy Reps and Reps for the following VA: Fayetteville, Asheville, Salisbury and Durham. Your duties would be to provide communication from the VA Medical Centers to the Councils, asking for their support of our Veterans. The Program for the Assemblies fall under V.A.V.S. Program. This position is definitely rewarding and without your support we could not accomplish fulfilling the needs for our Veterans. If interested, contact me Tom DuPree,
twdupree@aol.com
or 919-302-5550.
As you end your 2025 year and review your programs and budget, if you have any surplus funds, please forward those to SK Jerry Cucurullo, FC 6208 Heacham Ct, Raleigh NC 27614 100% of your donations are used in support of our Veterans.
As you and your family gather to thank God for all your blessings, remember to include our Veterans for supporting our Country and making us FREE, to letting us practice our religion. Each VA Medical Center has a Christmas list to purchase something special for a Veteran who will be forgotten at this time. Gifts are a maximum of $25.00.
I am wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT! WE TRULY ARE BLESSED!
