Training is critical for a council as it enhances the skills and knowledge necessary for effective leadership and operations. It helps in building a cohesive team, improving program delivery, and ensuring financial stability, ultimately leading to the growth and sustainability of the council.

  1. Membership Growth: Training in this area focuses on strategies to attract and retain members, fostering a vibrant and engaged community.

  2. Program Development: This includes training on how to create impactful programs that meet the needs of members, the church, and the community, ensuring relevance and participation.

  3. Council Leadership: Training in leadership equips council members with essential skills for guiding the council effectively, including communication, decision-making, and team building.

  4. Financial Management: Training in financial management ensures that council leaders are proficient in budgeting, fundraising, and financial reporting, which is vital for the council's sustainability.

Sources of Training:

  • Supreme: Offers resources and guidelines for councils to access training materials (www.kofc.org).

  • State Council: Provides localized training opportunities and support tailored to specific needs (kofcnc.org).

Contacts for More Information:

  • District Deputy: A valuable resource for guidance and support within your district.

  • State General Program Director and Team: They can provide insights into program development and training resources.

  • Membership Director and Team: For assistance with membership initiatives and growth strategies.

  • Financial and Procedures Administrator and Team: To help with financial management and procedural training.

All councils can implement training to become more impactful withing their churches and communities! Evaluate where you are and develop a plan to take your council to new heights!

Please feel free to reach out to your District Deputy or me for further information.
