Dear Brothers,

Happy New Year. As we enter 2024, we enter the second half of our Fraternal Year. Now is a time to reflect on the first half of your year and determine what worked well and what changes need to be made as you plan out the second half of the year. Your District Deputies and State Officers will be doing exactly that this month as we gather for the Mid Year Meeting. One of the key things that you need to plan for is whether you are on track for achieving STAR council. How are you doing on your membership goals? Have you completed your Safe Environment training? Have you filed your required paper work? Are you conducting and reporting meaningful programs? Are you conducting Fraternal Benefit nights? All of these are critical for the success of a council.

 

Another thing about the new year is that the State Council is relaunching our website. It is a total redesign to provide for easier use and maintenance. It was a tremendous effort by a number of volunteers and thanks to some corporate donations that will be discussed at our state convention. I think you will greatly appreciate the new site and I encourage you to check it out today at www.kofcnc.org . There are still some features that are being developed and it will improve more over time.

Finally, I am looking forward to seeing so many of you this year at our annual state convention. This year it will be held in Durham and the registration is open to any knight and can be found on the state website www.kofcnc.org Please sign up early to ensure that your spot is secure.
