Reaching for the Stars

Every Council is on a journey toward achieving some incredible goals, and your State Officers are excited to help you achieve those goals. The best part? Our State is doing very well by achieving more than 50% of our goal before the halfway point of our Fraternal Year! More importantly, is your council “reaching for the stars”?

1. Membership Growth: Building a Stronger Parish and Community
Our first goal is to grow our membership, and the momentum is already building with our accomplishments so far! Every new member brings fresh ideas, energy, and creativity. It's thrilling to see how our Order is expanding and evolving. We’re not just growing in numbers—we’re growing in strength, diversity, and spirit. With each new person, we’re becoming even more impactful to our parishes and communities. So, those men standing around you at mass, don’t hesitate to invite them! Together, we’re unstoppable!
2. Creating a Safe Environment for our Children
A safe and welcoming environment is at the core of everything we do. We all want the children in our parish and community to be safe at all Knight’s events. My two years as your State Advocate, have taught me that this is an area where we need to improve. My successor in that role reaching out to help each council become compliant. I cannot understate how important this is to your council. Your council’s very existence may depend on that training not to mention the safety of our children.
3. Submitting Forms – Keeping Things Organized and On Track
We know that submitting forms may seem like a small, unimportant task, but these little steps are the building blocks that keep everything running smoothly. As we tackle the paperwork together, we’re laying the foundation for future success. With everyone submitting their forms on time and accurately, we can ensure that our councils stay on track and if assistance is needed, your State Council ready to help. It’s progress that’s making a big difference behind the scenes!
4. Running Programs – Bringing Ideas to Life
This is where the magic happens! We’re making amazing strides in running programs that engage, inspire, and bring value to our community. Each program is a chance to share knowledge, build relationships, and create lasting memories. Programs like Build-a-bed, Coats for Kids, and our community meals (Fish Frys and Spaghetti Dinners) bring our communities together! The best part? We’re just getting started! We continue to develop more programs and events. Has your Council developed a program/event that made an impact? We want to hear about your success! Other Councils may be interested implementing your idea.
Looking Ahead: The Excitement Never Stops
Every goal we’re working toward is within reach, and the excitement in our progress is contagious! Whether it's signing up new members, creating a safe space, keeping things organized, or running impactful programs, we’re moving forward with energy and enthusiasm. Together, we’re shaping a brighter future. Remember! Your State Council is here to help you reach your goals. If you are having difficulty in any area, we have a great team to help you achieve your goals!
Thank you for being part of this amazing journey. Stay excited and keep pushing forward—great things are just around the corner!

Vivat Jesus,
Joe McCarthy, North Carolina State Treasurer
