Starting the Fraternal Year Strong: Key Steps for District Deputies and Council Leaders

Author: Joe McCarthy

Tuesday July 01, 2025

Joe.jpgI will be travelling from June 28th until July 6th to visit my daughter in Portugal. Many of you are aware she had a recent health scare, but she is now healthy again. Please expect a delay in any responses while I am away. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and support during this time. My daughter is doing well, and Anne-Marie and I are looking forward to seeing her soon!

The State Convention has concluded, and the checks are mailed. As your State Treasurer, I experienced a whirlwind of activities. My first convention in this role provided invaluable insights. Next year, I plan to use this knowledge for more efficient preparation and precise execution.
During the convention, I had the opportunity to meet numerous dedicated Council Leaders and District Deputies. Their commitment was truly inspiring. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the members of the Budget Committee who assisted in preparing the budget for our current Fraternal Year. Your time and efforts are greatly appreciated!
The shared purpose and camaraderie among attendees reinforced the importance of our work. I am confident we can achieve great things for our organization and make a meaningful impact in our communities.
As is customary, we have gathered donations to support various organizations during the convention. Below are the details of some recent contributions:
  • Charlotte Prison Ministry (Collection at Mass): $2,334.00
  • ASAP Donations from Convention totaling: $10,500.00
    • Room at the Inn
    • Mira Via
    • Pregnancy Care Center of Burke County
    • 1st Choice Pregnancy Resource Center of Pamlico
    • Women’s Life Center
  • We are currently coordinating donations for the Bishops of Charlotte and Raleigh.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generosity.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have or anything I can do to assist you in your mission. Our order's unwavering support is crucial in making these contributions impactful. Together, we can continue to make a significant difference in the lives of those who need it most. Your generosity with your time is a testament to the spirit of compassion and solidarity that defines our order. Thank you for your ongoing commitment and dedication.

Vivat Jesus,

Joe McCarthy, North Carolina State Treasurer
