Greetings S K Brothers and Faithful Navigators;
As we begin our Countries 250 birthday, we should take a moment to reflect on how we Received our freedom.  Historically, from the beginning of our Order has supporter our military and its Veterans.  For the fraternal year, 2025-26 you have assisted the four VA Medical Centers in North Carolina in providing new coats, sweat pants and shirts, food and funds necessary to send our Veterans to the National Wheelchair Games in Detroit this year.  Without your hard work {raising funds} we would not have been able to accomplish this important task.  Thank You  on behave of those Veterans we were able to assist.  Congratulations to the new Faithful Navigators and their leadership team for the coming year of 26-27.  Again, our goal is for every Assembly to support the Veterans Programs, which falls under the principle of Patriotism and the support of the VAVS program.  Special thanks to my VAVS/Veterans Affairs Representatives for their tireless efforts in coordinating and requesting your support in assisting our needy Veterans, especially the homeless.  Please designate a line item in your budget to support our Veterans.

A special program each year has been the Girl Scout Cookies program.  My coordinator SK Bob Yuzuik contacts with Jersey Care.  They provide a 18 wheeler truck to bring down Girl Scout cookies to our military and their families in North Carolina.  We pick up and deliver to our Medical Centers and USO to be shared.  I personally delivered 300 cases at the value of $14,820.00 to the Fayetteville and Durham Veteran Medical Centers and the USO in RDU.  SK Mitch Miller, rep for Salisbury VA delivered to Salisbury, Kernersville, VHVH in Winston-Salem, Servant Center in Greensboro and Arthur Cassell Transitional House in High Point.  All the Veterans and their families really look forward to this time of the year when the cookies arrive.  Thanks to the Girl Scouts of America and Operation Jersey Cares.
