Rounding the First Turn
Greetings brother Knights and families all. We officially have the first quarter of our fraternal year under our belts. What an AMAZING journey so far. You will read from others in this edition the wonderful works that the State of North Carolina has accomplished.
Membership goals and Program submissions
Coats for Kids initiative
Build a Bed adventures
Weekly Rosary
These are a few items, and I don’t want to take the thunder away from those groups that will be reporting on this. I will just say THANK YOU to all who have contributed in some way, in ways that support your communities the best.
TECH UPDATE:
We are going to need a couple more weeks to have all contact and email list information ready. There is a lot of data that needs to be validated, and the men working to make this happen are doing the best they can. We appreciate that these men give their time and talents in conjunction with the responsibilities to their families, their jobs, and their church communities. They are the behind-the-scenes people that make it all come together. Once we have this up and running, or goals for Q2 are:
Training Portal: a place to store the pieces of training we conduct along with other training from Supreme where you can go to and find items of interest with just a click or two
Contact information updates: auto reminders for all officers, directors, chairman, and members every six months
Continued enhancements to our state website to make it more user-friendly

Upcoming Preparations:
With the start of Q2, this is also the season of fall. That means starting to prepare for the holiday season. Advent! Now is the time to coordinate your plans with your parishes on events you might want to do:
Keep Christ in Christmas Cards Sales
Rosaries for families, special needs, or before Mass during Advent, all hosted by your council
Food for Families in Need
LAMB fundraising (people tend to be more “generous” during the holidays)
Membership Drives
There is so much a council can do during this time of year. You are only limited by your imagination. Go ahead, flood the State Warden with 10784 Forms…he LUVS him some forms 😊
Have a great October, and we will talk in November.
