I strongly encourage all of us in our parish to privately pray the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Novena to St. Joseph: for Those on the Path of Adoption in the days preceding March 19th, St. Joseph’s Feast Day.  It only takes about 10 minutes each day.  A link and more information are provided in the bulletin.  Our fight for the life of the unborn is not over.  Please pray!

With aid from the Knights, pregnancy centers and maternity homes can offer support to help women, choose life, for themselves and their babies, before and after birth.

The Knights of Columbus has a unique partnership with the Special Olympics and has helped disabled athletes train for and compete in games around the world.  These special citizens offer all of us a unbiased perspective on life and other people, with a love for which we all aspire.

ULTRASOUND

The Knights of Columbus works together as an organization to purchase ultrasound machines for qualifying pregnancy centers.  In North Carolina, since there are NC State funds available for this purpose, a Council should first recommend that a center explore that option.  If that option is not available, then the Council may progress with potential support.

To increase blood donations and organ donors within our councils, their parishes and their local communities.  This is a very direct approach in providing a physical part of one's body to save another.  It is Life Giving.

Celebrating a Mass for People with Special Needs can be the first of many steps toward integrating the disabled into regular weekly or even daily Mass – and more deeply into all of the sacraments and other aspects of parish life.

The protection of life is a sustained prayer intention of the Church, and in particular of the Knights of Columbus.  Prayer and our Catholic Faith are always at the foundation of our Action for Life!

SILVER ROSE

Every stop the Silver Rose makes throughout the pilgrimage is a rosary-centered occasion for Knights, parishioners and community members to pray for respect for life.  This is a major opportunity to pray for Life, invoking Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patron Saint of the Americas, to help.
